STUD SHEEP

SHIPMENT TO ARGENTINE. A consignment of over 50 stud sheep was dispatched from the Wairarapa yesterday afternoon for shipment to the Argentine from Wellington this morning. Included are 18 Lincoln rams, four Romney ramsi and three Corriedale rams from the flocks of Mr .William Rayner, ‘ ‘ The Cliffs; ; ’ East Taratahi; one Romney ram forwarded by Mr R. Matthews, Waiorongomai, -and three hogget Lincoln rams forwarded by Mr E. T. Wilton, Rangitumau. All the foregoing are being shipped through agency of the New Zealand Loan Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd. During the passage to the Argentine, the animals will be under the care of Messrs' Hathaway and Payne, of Martinborough. Through Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Company, Ltd., Mr Quentin Donald is forwarding three Romney rams to the Argentine and Mr E. T. Wilton is forwarding 13 Lincoln rams and Mr L. R. Wilton seven Lincoln rams. One or two of Mr Rayner’s rans and one or two of Mr Wilton’s are to be exhibited at the big annual show at Buenos Aires before going to their purchasers.
