TWO BIG GAMES. Rugby patrons are to be provided with another excellent programme of game® on Saturday afternoon, when Red Star will meet. Old Boys, at Memorial Park, Masterton, and Gladstone will play Carterton at Carterton. Red Star, the championship leaders, are playing excellent football this season, and Old Boys appear capable of testing any team, and if the weather holds fine, a classic inter-club contest, with the pace on all the way, should result. Old Boys must win this match to be in the firing line for championship lionshould they succeed in. defeat- ' Star, the championship ladder will be at a most interesting stage. Great interest is being taken in this ■patch. ™ At Carterton spectacular and exciting football, one of the events which Rugby followers, have been keenly waiting for, should be witnessed, when Gladstone will play Carterton. Carterton have shown great improvement in the last three championship games, winning each match, and on their own ground they are confident of avenging their defeat of earlier in the season at the hands of Gladstone. The battle for championship honours this season is exceptionally keen and so good is the standard of play, and so interesting the games staged by the Wairarapa Rugby Union,ethat they are being followed with real enthusiasm by all Rugby supporters. In the Lower Valley, Featherston meet Martinborough at Featherston, while Dalefield will try conclusions with Greytown at Greytown. The curtain-raiser to be played at the Memorial Park, commencing at 1.30 «m., will be provided between High jhool and Carterton fourths. At Memorial Park next Tuesday, the * l King's Birthday,” the Wairarapa Rugby Union is providing a first-class i holiday attraction —Wairarapa junior reps. v. Hawke’s Bay for the Willough-by-Donahl Challenge Cup and other attractions.*
