AUSTRALIAN WHEAT
SHIPMENT TO NEW ZEALAN~V AUCKLAND, In spite of .the Government's de-® cision to prohibit the importation of wheat, a shipment of 4000 tons from Australia was landed by the Kairanga at Auckland on Thursday last. A circular issued by an Auckland merchant states that this was imported by the Government to supply local mills. The circular states it is understood the wheat would be used by Auckland mills to strengthen New Zealand flour, which had recently shown signs of weakness. It was stated the Government had not yet decided to continue to import wheat from Australia. —(P.A.)
