Y.M.C.A.
HUTT VALLEY VISITORS. Seventeen members orf the Hutt Valley Y.M.C.A. are. at present paying a visit to Masterton as the guests of the local Y.M.C.A. Yesterday afternoon, the party, which is in charge of Mr C. A. Edwards, General Secretary, visited Daniell’s Mill and the Fish Hatcheiies, and last night they were entertained at a welcome tea at the Y.M.C.A., and later at the pictures.. This evening competitive ping-pong, basketball and other indoor games will be played. Athletic contests will take place to-morrow morning, and the party will return home in the afternoon.
FOOTBALL MATCH. WON EY HOME TEAM. The Masterton v. Hutt C.A. football match, played at Masterton this morning, resulted in a win for the home team by 16 points to 14. The game was fast and interesting. Mr J. Kennedy acted as referee. Tries were scored for Hutt by Fairburn, Dallinger and Parker. Fairburn converted the try scored by Parker. For Masterton Faulknor scored three tries and H. Corlett one try which was converted by Faulknor. This afternoon the boys will be the guests of Mr Hugh Morrison, Awatoitoi, at afternoon tea.
