CHRISTCHURCH MAYORALTY
THREE CANDIDATES. CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. Three candidates have been nominated for the Christchurch Mayoralty byelection caused through the resignation of the Hon. D. G. Sullivan. They are the RevriJn'Ki Archer (Labour), Mr J w. Bo.au.lqnd (Citizens’ Association) and Mr EyJi. Hills (Independent). The election will be held on lltli March. " . There are seven nominations for the three vacancies on the City Council caused by the resignation of Messrs. Archer and Beanland to contest the Mayoralty, and that of Mr C. E. Jones,, owing to illness. The nominations are: Sir Hugh Acland. Messrs J. Carter and T. J. Mating (Citizens’ Association), G. Manning, M. Maefarlane. and J. Matheson (Labour), and B.
