The house of William Meighan, a member of the British Legion, was attacked and windows smashed.

At Limerick a crowd, in the course of an anti-Protestant demonstration, stoned six shops and two clergymen’s houses, and smashed the windows of a church, a Masonic hall and the Young Men’s Christian Association’s building before police dispersed them. Catholic priests condemned the outrage.
