The race resulted in a further triumph for J. W. Savidan (Auckland), who won the title for the 6th time when he ran home a winner by wards from his team mate Cooper, who comfortably defeated Pullard (Otago). Contrary to expectations Auckland: defeated the holders, Otago, m the teams championship. Wellington finis <ed third. . , The following cross-country team was picked by the joint selectors, Messrs B. Als si . gather, but soon strung out, individ ’runners running to suit the ™‘ Cup training for the final Bradbury P race next Saturday. Nine juniors were started on an op handicap race of over one lap> ot me course. Unfortunately only fo *J °J back markers found the correct trail, sand it had to be declared no race. The race will be re-run next Saturday as sealed handicap before the Bradbury Cup race. .
