MR M'KENZIE RESIGNS

AS SOLE FOOTBALL SELECTOR. MR DONALD APPOINTED. At a meeting of the Management Committee of the Wairarapa Rugby Union last night, Mr E. McKenzie resigned as sole selector of the Wairarapa senior representative team. The committee accepted Mr McKenzie’s resignation with regret, and Mr Q. Donald, the ex-All Black, was appointed to fill the vacancy for the remainder of the season.

Mr McKenzie’s action was the result of some person unknown having caused the disappearance of ten representative jerseys, four pairs of socks and two pairs of pants from the representative football gear bag between Mastcrton and Grcvtown this week. Mr McKenzie’s action was a protest agaipst this sort of thing. Mr McKenzie has been a sole selector for a long period of years. Mr Donald has on former occasions acted as sole senior selector in the Wairarapa.
