THE DRAMA FESTIVAL.
The Drama Festival which occupied a two-nights’ session in Masterton this week, has been well worth while. Not only did the
participants benefit by the tuition received during the instructional portion of tlie session, but the audiences received an education in tbe type of entertainment which' the Festival provided. The founders of the Festival and those who have since successfully carried on the organisation are to be congratulated for having provided Masterton with something which has given a large section of the people of Masterton enjoyment as well as instruction. Those who participate in the plays benefit by the work which they are engaged in, and hidden talent is brought to light as the result of the course of instruction which is received at the hands of the skilled teachers who are responsible in connection therewith. The Drama Festival has also been the means whereby several exceptionally creditable local plays were produced, thereby further illustrating to the public the talent which Masterton possesses. One hopes to see the Drama Festival movement widen its scope of operations, and so bring further educational entertainment to an increased circle of local residents.
