THE OPERA HOUSE.

(Tho Editor)

Sir, —Should demolition, one of the fates overshadoAving the Opera House, take place, may I suggest that the foundation stone be secured, along Avitli any plate, coins, etc., that may be found therein, and set aside to be presented on some suitable occasion to Tim Fagan, in recognition of his Herculean efforts to have this eyesore removed. I Avould also suggest that the ceremony tako place in the Masterton Park, as any other place A\ r ould be far too small to accommodate the many thousands who Avould attend to do honour, and see in the flesh one Avhose literary efforts had led to such a commendable result. Special accommodation (preferably tho grandstand) Avould, of course, be reserved for Trust members and their more ardent supporters. —I am, ° ’’ ODDS BODY.
