A New Zealander, G, White, an exshort service Air Force officer, left for Australia in a Gypsy Moth, flying by short stages. From thence he will ship his ’plane to his home in Hawke’s Bay. A FAST FLIGHT. CHRISTCHURCH TO AUCKLAND. AUCKLAND ,Tuesday. A trip from Christchurch to Auckland was made in the total flying time of 4J hours by Captain J. C. Mercer, chief instructor to the Canterbury Aero Club, flying aDe Uaviland Fox Moth. He left at 12.15 p.m. with a passenger, spent 20 minutes at Palmerston North, and reached Mangero at 5.20 p.m. (P.A.)
