HORSE SALE
F.C.D. COMPANY, LTD. The New Zealand Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Distributing Co., Ltd., report having held a horse sale yesterday, when they offered 100 horses to a very large attendance. The quality of the yarding did not compare favourably with their two previous sales, with the result that the prices were dowii accordingly, but these must be considered satisfactory. They sold 058 horses out of the total yarding, and the following will give an indication of values:
Draughts: 4-year gelding, £36 10s; 3-ycar do., £33; 9-year do., £32;. 3-year filly, £3l; 4-year colt, £29; 1 aged mare, £25; 2 aged mares, £2l 10s; other aged draughts, all work, £lO, £l3, £l4 10s to £lB.
Spring carters: 9-year marc, £2l 10s; 2 7-ycar mares, £ls; aged mares, , £l2 10s, £l3 to £l4 10s; aged geldings, £B, £lO 10s, £ll to £l3 10s. Hacks: 1 7-year gelding, £l7 10s; 2 aged marcs, £l2 and £l2 10s; 2 aged geldings, £9; 6-year mares, £4 10s, £6 to £8; other aged hacks, £2, £3 to £4; unbroken hacks, £1 10s to £2 10s. Ponies: 8-year mare, £3 10s; others, £1 10s, £2 to £2 10s.
