MAGISTRATE’S COURT
MASTERTON SITTING. 4 CIVIL CLAIMS. In the Magistrate’s Court this morning! Mr J. Miller, S.M., gave judgmo*i for plaintiff by default in the follovijng undefended civil cases: —Hugo anAhcarer, Ltd., v. Olive McKenzie (separate estate), £3 13s, costs 23s fid; N.Z. Farmers’ Co-operative Distributing Co., Ltd., v. A. Goodman, £2 os 6d, costs 24s fid; H. J. Jones and Co., Ltd., v. W. Ireland, £5 18s sd, costs 32s fid; Masterton Borough Council v. Edward W. Mills, £2 7s Bd, costs 23s fid; McKenzie and Marsack v. Clara Lucy Toxward, £4 13s, costs 24s 6d. In a defended action, Francis Naan v. Clarence Miller, jun., judgment was given for the plaintiff, for whom Mr N. Miller appeared. The amount of claim was £1 10s 6d, and costs amounted . to 15s. The claim arose out of a collision between a push bicycle and a stationary motor cycle. On a judgment summons, Edgar Wilton was ordered to pay forthwith the N.Z. Distributing Co., Ltd., the sum of £1 14s 3d, in default two days’ imprisonment.
