WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION. A further series of games In the Wairarapa Hockey Association’s competition was played on Saturday in pleasant weather conditions. Most of the teams are now getting into form, and the hockey witnessed Avas bright and interesting. The results were as folloAv: —Carterton beat Featherston, 4/1; Dalefield beat Greytown, 5/2; Valley‘beat Y.M.C.A. Stars, 4/1; Kiwi A beat Kiwi B, 3/1; Y.M.C.A. Stags, a bye.

LADIES’ ASSOCIATION. £ The first round of the Wairaarpa Women’s Hockey Association fixtures was concluded on Saturday. In the northern section, Gladstone are unbeaten, and head the list. It AA r as expected that on Saturday, High School would fully extend the YelloAv and Blacks, but their display Avas disappointing. In the Southern section, GreytoAvn went through AA r ithout a loss, though they had a feAV close calls, from Magpies and Carterton A. In the junior section, some A r ery good games haA T e been witnessed. On Saturday, Old Girls took pride of place by defeating Huesher, in the best match of the season, 3/0. It Avas a first-class exhibition, full of excitement and the next time these teams meet there aaull be a big attendance of i folloAvers of the game. Owing to the school holidays, Solway College have yet to play Huesher, Gladstone and High School. These games are to be played later if possible, but they cannot affect the position of the competition leaders.
