FEDERAL DEFICIT WELL BELOW ESTIMATE. Press Association Electric Telegraph—Copyright WASHINGTON, Friday. The Federal deficit for the fiscal year ending 30th June passed £700,000,000 to-day. The original Budget estimates forecast a decit at 30tli June of £1,460,000,000. It is pointed out that expenditures have not been as rapid as was originally believed necessary.
