AUTUMN FLOWERS
MASTERTC-N SOCIETY’S SHOW EXCELLENT DISPLAY PROMISED. Entries for the Mastcrton Horticultural Society’s autumn show have come to hand particularly well, and everything points to to-morrow’s exhibition being an excellent one. Intending exhibitors are reminded that it is not yet too late to enter, as late, entries will be received up to 4 p.m. to-dav. The display of cut flowers, it. is claimed, will contain some outstanding blooms that would do credit to any town or district, while there is likely to be keen competition in the decorative class. There are also classes for fruit, vegetables, home industries and fancy work, in all of which there will be excellent exhibits of their kind. So that the dahlias, which will be a feature of to-morrow’s show, may be displayed to better ad vantage, the society has provided new stands for these flowers, an action that will be appreciated by both exhibitors and the public alike. The show,' which will bo held in the Municipal Hall, wil’ be open from 2 to 5.30 p.m., and from 7 to 9.30 p.m.
