BY THE CROWN. COMMITTEE TO MEET DELEGATES WAIROA, This Day. The Mayor, Mr S. L. Harker, has received advice from Mr D. W. Coleman, M.P., that the Prime Minister has agreed to the setting-up of a Parliamentary Committee to meet delegates to go into the question of rating and the payment of rates by the Crown, as requested at the conference of local rating authorities held at Wairoa on 10th June. The personnel of the committee, or the date on which it will meet, have not been supplied.—(P.A.)
