SYDNEY, Monday. An aeroplane, with two Brisbane youths, Alfred' Henderson, aged 19, and Frederick' Robertson, aged 18, crashed near. Tare.ef on the North Coast, to-day. Henderson received a broken nose, but his companion was unhurt. Engine trouble necessitated a forced landing, the machine, striking a fence, overturning, 1 and becoming a wreck. Local farmers extricated the youths. RECORD BROKEN. (Received Tuesdav, 11.55 a.m.) NEW YORK, Monday. Colonel Roscoe Turner broke the west to cast trans-continental speed record by 134 minutes, negotiating the distance from Burbank, California, to the Floyd Bennett Field here, a distance of 2520 miles, in ten hours 54 minutes. Turner flew a 900 horse-power low wing monoplane, his top speed being 315 miles per hour.
