AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS. ALL BRITISH PINAL. - NEW YORK, Saturday. Wins for F. J. Perry (Britain) and J. B. Crawford (Australia) marked the semi-finals of the American tennis championships at Porest Hills to-day. The results were as follow: — P. J. Perry (Britain) defeated L. Sotefen, 6/3, 6/2, 6/2. J. C. Crawford (Australia) defeated P. X. Shields (H.S.A.), 7/5, 6/4, 6/3. CRAWFORD BEATEN. (Received Monday, 12 noon). POREST HILLS, Sunday.' In the National Singles tennis final Perry (England) defeated Crawford (Australia) in an exciting game. Crawford lost the first set rather weakly, 6/3. The second set was a long-drawn-out struggle in which the Englishman was just fa shade more accurate than liis opponent, but Crawford, in a dour fighting finish, carried off the set, 13/11. Playing faultless tennis Crawford also accounted for the third set after Perry had been disconcerted by a line ball which he thought was out.

In the fourth and fifth sets the Australian appeared in pain, and Perry had little difficulty in clinching the victory. Crawford explained after the match that he was dizzy during the two concluding sets. ~ j
