ACCUSED SENTENCED. reformative":DETENTlON. AUCKLAND, Monday. > James Duggan Stephens aged 26 formerly employed by the Public Tiust Office, was sentenced to-day to three years’ reformative detention for the theft of £259 and forgery._ Counsel said that the prisoner s offences were due to gambling. Mr Justice Herdman said that the case was just one of common theft (P.A.)
