GIFT TO HINDENBURG

OLD FAMILY ESTATES.

BERLIN, Monday.

Prussia lias presented to President Hindenburg the Langenau estate and Preussen forest, formerly owned by the Hindenburg family, and adjoining the President’s Neudeck estate.

Captain Goering, in making the presentation at the foot of the Tannenberg memorial at a ceremony marking the nineteenth anniversary of the Tannenberg victory, announced: —“These lands will be free of taxation so long as a male heir of the Hindenburg line is left.”

Replying to greetings, President Hindenburg, in a broken voice, said: “1 only did my duty.”
