SENT TO GAOL. MENACE ON ROAD. INVERCARGILL, Thursday. Hugh Healey, aged 58, ivas to-day sentenced at the Supreme Coourt cn a charge of negligently driving a motor car while intoxicated, and eausng death, to twelve months’ imprisonment with hard labour, and his driving license was suspended for four years. The judge remarked that intoxicated motorists were a 'fuenace' on the road, and he must impose 1 a sentence that would act as a deterrent—(P.A.)
