ALLEGED SLANDER.

EASTBOURNE CASE. WELLINGTON, Thursday. Further evidence on behalf of the plaintiff was given when the hearing was resumed in the Magistrate’s Court at Wellington to-day, before Mr E. Page, S.M., of the case in which C. L. Bishop, Town Clerk of Eastbourne, is claiming £3OO damages for alleged slander from A. T. R. Duncan, a member of the Eastbourne Borough Council. Evidence for the plaintiff was concluded, and a start was made with that for the defendant when the case was adjourned until Monday. —(P.A.)
