.(To the Editor). 1 Sir,—One wonders what is behind the hysterical outburst® of your correspondents, Messrs “Watchful” and “ Wakeful. It is obvious to nearly everyone that there is no managerial point on which they can enlighten Mr Tong, so that the burden -of their harsh criticism falls on the shoulders of the lady in the box. As .the lady in question has long since proved heirself an honoured and efficient servant, -one hopes that her displacement will not receive any consideration whatever, regardless of her circumstances. —I am, etc.,
