FATAL COLLISION

♦- CYCLIST KILLED. AUCKLAND, Wednesday. Severe head injuries, from which lie later died in hospital, were received this evening by a cyclist, Douglas Charles Baker, aged 16, of Ellerslie, when he was involved in a collision with a motor car on the Great 'South Road. The motor car was driven by J. G. McDonald, of 'Green Lane. The boy was thrown from his bicycle on to itlie footpath. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital, where he died one hour after admittance. —(P.A.)
