KINSEN MARU

SINKS AT SEA. SOME SURVIVORS RESCUED. (Received Friday, 9.40 a.m.) ... ~ SYDNEY, Tliis Day. Some survivors of the Kinsen 34aru were rescued at midnight by the Hide Maru, one of the search sliips. A wireless message to that effect was sent by the captain of the Hide Maru to the Deputy Director of Navigation for Queensland. It was meagre information, adding only that the Kinsen Maru sank at 1 o’clock on the morning of Tuesday, roughly 403 miles east of Maelcay. A second wireless message read: — “The second boat lias not been sighted yet.” This indicates that the survivors have given information concerning at least one other boat’s crew.
