KOPUARANGA SCHOOL
ANNUAL PICNIC. The .annual Kopuaranga School picnic •vras held at Kopuaranga under ideal weather conditions. The School Committee catered for both young and old and a very enjoyable time was gpent by all. Numerous traces were run and the children were awarded prizes on points. The following are the results:—'Girls over 10 years (possible, 16 points).—Lilian Westhead, 13 points, 1; Betty Kenny and Waina Greenland, each 11 points, 2; Winnie Westhead, 10 points, 4; Eileen Jarret, S points, 5; Jean Millar, 2 points, 6. Girls under 10 years (possible, 12 points).—Maisie .Cottle, 12 points, 1; Nancy Westhead, and Dulcie Kenny, each 9 points, 2; Patsy Westhead and Margaret Clarke, each 5 points, 4. Boys over 10 yeans (possible, 16 points).—Geoffrey Clarke, 14 points, 1; Henry Moje, 9 points, 2; Bruce Millar, 8 points, 3; Harold Cottle and Yerny Kenny, each 7 points, 4; Owen Jarrett, 6 points, 6. Boys under 10 years (possible, 12: points).—Jack Cottle, 12 points, 1; Eric Kenny, 10 points, 2; Joe Brown, S points, 3; Leo O'Shea, 7 points, 4; Jack Millar and Tom Moss, each 5 points, 5. Other events resulted:—Single ladies'race: Miss Beibecca Westhead; married ladies' race, Mrs Kenny; single men’s race, N. Moje; married men’s race, H. Evans; tinj- tots’ race, Pauline Boss.
