DE VALERA’S POLICY

SEPARATION ISSUE.

The Dublin correspondent of “The Times” says that for the first time in the election, Air E. do Valera, has declared his policy on the issue of separation from the Empire. Speaking at Cahir, he announced that he was determined to ask for Ireland’s complete independence, politically and economically. Air F. Aiken, Minister of Defence, was even more explicit. “Ireland will be an independent Republic when you come again,” he is reported to have told the Dublin correspondent of the ■Parisr “Petit Journal,”, adding: “That is the will of the Irish people,, which will be expressed at the election on 24th January.’.’
