CHICKENPOX
OUTBREAK ON STEAMER. AUCKLAND, Wednesday. A mild outbreak of. chickenpox oecu#3& during the voyage of the steamejßpornwall, which arrived at Auckland fUTin Liverpool to-day. The vessel is a training ship for officers, and carries thirty-four cadets, who are utilised as seamen. Three cadets contracted the complaint and were isolated on board by the ship’s doctor. The patients were convalescent when when the • steamer arrived, and were taken to hospital for further medical attention. —(P.A.)
