JOHNSONVILLE SALE. Prices were steady at the Johnsonville sale yesterday. This being the Christmas sale, Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., and Abraham and Williams, Ltd., offered a very large yarding of stock, comprising mostly prime quality lambs, foil- which competition was keen at late rates. Wethers and ewes met with a fair demand, while all classes of beef met with a ready sale at prices om a. par with last week’s rates. There will be no sale between Christinas and. New Year. Yesterday's prices ruled as follow: — Cattle. —Heavy bullocks, £6/10/-, £6 9/-, £6/7/6, £6/3/-, to £6; bullocks, £5 13/-, £5/10/-, £5/8-, £5/7/6, to £5; cows and heifers, £4, £3/11/-, £3/10/-, £3 7/6 to £3; runners, £2/19/-, £2/16/-, £2. 14/-, £2/12/-/ £2/13/-, £2/10/-, to £2. 5/-; vealers, £l/16/-, £l/13/6, £l/10/-, to 15/-.
