WHITMAN BEATS SINCLAIR. WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Some JOO people attended the Winter Show Stadium this evening to witness tho professional wrestling -contest between llugh-ic Wlr,Ltmiau, of Australia (11.51) and Jimmy Cine lair , of Australia (U.d). The bout was announced as a challenge match for the middleweight championship of tho Southern Hemisphere, and was won by Whitman by two falls to one. A certain amount of ill-feeling seemed to develop between the men in the 1 alter rounds, and partisanship was keen among the crowd. Tin; match, however, was hardly up to the standard, either in wrestling or entertainment, to which Wellington to! lowers of the game are accustomed.
