METHODIST CHURCH
LADIES’ GUILD. MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Mothodist Ladies ’ Guild was held at the Parsonage yesterday afternoon. Mrs Blamircs presided over an excellent attendance. The meeting took the form of a gift day for the Christmas Pair to bo held in the schoolroom on hist November. An excellent collection of dainty gifts as well as cash donations, were received. Stall-holders were appointed for the various stalls, and everything points to a most successful Pair - . Arrangements were also made for the “Fellowship. Tea” to be held during Synod (ldth November). Afternoon tna was dispensed by the hostesses, Mesdames A. Weller and A. Thomas. During the afternoon an excellent programme of musical item was provided by -Mrs Prior (songs) accompanied by Mrs A. Barnes who also played a piano* solo. Those present were delighted with the selection of songs chosen by Mrs Prior. Votes of thanks were passed to the hostesses and to Mesdames Prior and Barnes. At the next meeting a competition is to be held for the best article made from sugar bags.
