CARTERTON SALE. Associated Live Stock Auctioneers, Ltd., report:—At our weekly Carterton ■sale yesterday we offered a fair yarding of all classes of stock to a good attendance. Sheep maintained late rates; cattle sold at improved prices, especially store cows. Pigs also were keenly sought after. We made a total clearance aS under: —Sheep:—2-tooth ewes, r.w. S.D. ram, 8s Id; m.a. ewes, r.w. S.D. rams, 4s; fat lambs, 12s 6d. ■Cattle.—Cows on drop, £6 to £7 10s; heifers on drop, £4 10s to £6; cows in milk, £2 to £3 ss; spring calves, 35s to £2; empty heifers, 455; heifer calves, 235; empty cows, 18s to 235. Pigs. — Weaners, 5s to 8s; slips, 9s to 11s 6d; porkers, 17s to 225.
