ANGLO-AMERICAN MATCH. LONDON, Friday. In an Anglo-American tennis tourney at Eastbourne, Austin (England) defeated Mangin (U.S.A.), 6/1, 6/3, 9/7; Wood (U.S.A.) beat Oliff (England), 3/6, 6/4, 6/1. A message from Cologne states that Fraulein Aussem will not defend her title at Wimbledon. She has been ordered to rest. Miss Betty Nuthall, the tennis player, who reached the age of 21 years on 23rd May, received £IOO from her mother for not having smoked before her 21st birthday. She said that the money had been easily earned, because she had never wanted to smoke.
