MONTHLY MEETING. SCHOOLS’ BALANCE SHEETS. The usual monthly meeting of the Trust Lands Trust held last night was presided over by the aeting-eliairman, Mr E. G. Eton. Other Trustees present were Messrs. R. Krahagen, J. L. Hughes, D. Caselberg, W. H. Jackson, G. Selby and T. Wagg. The Auditor-General, in returning the balance-sheet for the year ended gist March, 1932, certified same as correct. The chairman stated that it was satisfactory to have it returned without tags. An invitatimi to Trustees to attend, | an Empire Day service to 'be Held m iSt. Matthew’s Church on .Sunday, 22nd May, was received from the Church of England Men’s Society. The letter was received. Balance-sheets from various schools and organisations to which grants are made were received. For the year ended 29th February, 1932, -Whatman School show a credit balance of £1 IU/2 and Masterton West School a credit balance of i,ioi/i.9/4. T’lie St. Patrick’s 'School balance-sheet for the year ended 31st December, 1931, snows a debit balance of £197/fO/2 and a fixed deposit account of £2OO at the banK, wnilo the- Masterton Dental <j.mm's balance-sheet for the year ended 31st March, 1932, shows a credit of £4/1/5. Tne Masterton Plunket Society app.ied for a renewal of their annual grant of £IOO. Renewals of grants were also asked for -by the Masterton Dental Clinic, £l5O, and the District Schools’ Library Committee, £25. These will be considered when tne estimates are being framed. , The Trust’s solicitors forwarded the lease of tlie Cameron Memorial Park to tne Wairarapa. Rugby Union duly completed by the lessee, and certifying that the document is a lit and proper one for execution by the Trustees. The acting-chairman was authorised to affix tiie seal of the liust. Tne Auditor-General in a letter asked for the statutory authorities on which the Trustees relied for making a grant of £ISOO t-o the Cameron Pant Board and for assuming the loan liability of the Board. A reply was forwarded by the Trust, which in view of the balance-sheet being returned without tags, satisfied the Auditor-General on the point. A letter was .received from the Masterton Dental Clinic Committee thanking the Trustees for their offer of a lease of a section but advising that the v offer did not meet with the approval of the Education Department. Rentals received for the -month amounted to £215/12/1. Accounts amounting to £423/9/9 were passed for payment.
