The Wairarapa Basketball Association’s season opened on Saturday in perfeet Aveather. The games were keenly contested, tlie results being as follow: —A Grade: Stars I. beat Martinborough, 27/7 High. School Old Girls beat -Stars. 11., 35/2; Convent Old Girls beat GreytoAvn, 27/7. B Grade: Dalefield beat 'Stars, 18/7; -GreytoAvn beat Convent, 13/8; 'Elmsdale beat Kia Ora, 13/7; High School Old Girls, a bye.
