SYDNEY EIGHT'OARED RACE. SYDNEY, Saturday. St. Joseph’s College won the title “Head of the River” after a thrilling struggle with Sydney Church of England Grammar School, commonly called “Shore,” in the schools’ championship race for eights. Sydney Grammar School was third and King’s 'School, Parramatta, fourth. The distance was a mile and a half. Won by half a length. Time, 8.564.
