FEILDING SALE. FEILDING, Friday. Prices for sheep were very firm at the fat stock sale at Feilding to-day, when there was a heavy yarding. Freezing works buyers were apparently in the market, and with good limits operated freely. The range of prices was as follows: Fat lambs: Primcst, 16s Id to 10s 4d; very good, 14s 4d to 15s lOd; good, 10s to i.2s; fair, from 9s; fat 2-tooths, primost, 14s 2d to 14s 7tl; prime, 12s 6d to 13s’ 7d; 2-tooth black faces, prime, 9s lOd to 10s lOd. Fat ewes: Primcst, 9s Id to 9s Del; prime, 7s lOd to Ss Sd; good, 0s Sd; backward, from 5s 4d. Fat wethers: Prime heavy, 15s; good weights, 12s 7d to 13s Id; medium, from Bs. Store sheep: There was a heavy yarding, and a good market for breeding eve’s. Good 4 and 5-year, 10s to 10s 3d; fair, from 6s to 9s Id; backward ewes, 5s 10d to 0s sd; poor lines, from Is -Id; m.a. ewes, r.w. EKETAITUNA SALE. Associated Live Stock Auctioneers, Ltd., report having offered a- good yarding of 3200 sheep and several pens of cattle at their Eketahuna sale on Thursday. There was a hig attendance of buyers, representing Masterton, Manawatu, Hawke’s Bay and local districts. Competition right throughout was very keen, the sale being one of the best held this season. Weaner pigs: Bs. CARTERTON SALE, Associated Live Stock Auctioneers, Ltd., report:—At the Carterton sale yesterday, we offered a fair yarding of all classes of stock to the usual attendance. Sheep and cattle sold readily at par rates, and pigs at advanced prices. Practically a total clearance was effected as under: —Sheep: 4 and 5-year ewes, 7s to 8s; fat and forward ewes, 6s 6d to Ss; m.s. 2-tooth (small), 4s 3d to 5s 2d; ewe lambs (good), 10s 4cl; w.f. lambs, 5s 3d to 6s 6d; small lambs, 2s Gd to 4s; b.f. lambs, 5s Sd to 7s; fat lambs, 11s Gd to 12s; cull ewes, Is to 3s. Cattle: Fat and forward cows, £2l 15s to £3 3s; store cows, 25s to 37s Gd; cull cows, 10s to 20s; bulls, £2 5s to £3. Poultry sold at good prices. The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report on their usual Carterton sale as follows:—Our yarding consisted of 1040 sheep, which were offered to a good attendance of buyers. Wc had a total clearance at prices on a par with recent sales. We quote the following prices:—Ewes: Fat ewes, 7s to 7s 2d; forward condition ewes, 4s 2d, 5s to 5s 9d; 5-year ewes, 5s lid to 7s; 4, 6 and S-tootli ewes, 9s 2d; 2-tooth ewes, 9s to 10s.
