FEILDING SALE. FEILDING, Friday. Prices for fat sheep at the stock sale to-day remained at about last week’s level. At these prices there was a free sale, both exporters and butchers operating briskly. Associated Live Stock Auctioneers, Ltd., report: —We offered a fair yarding at Carterton yesterday to the usual j attendance. Hiding was good throughout and we effected a total clearance at very satisfactory prices. The following are details: —Sheep: 6-tli to 5yr ewes 10/-, store ewes 5/5, fat ewes 6/6 to 8/6, fwd ewes 5/- to 6/6, store ewes 2/6 to 2/6, fat 2-th 12/10, fat lambs 12/10 to 14/- (very prime), S.D. rams 10/- to 28/-. Cattle: Cows in milk £2/16/- to £6/10/-, cow on drop £S/7/6, empty cows 10/- to 25/-, bull £2/15/-. Pigs: Weaner pigs, 6/- to S/6; slips, 9/- to 12/6; sows, 27/6.

The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report on their usual weekly sale held at Carterton yesterday as follows: —Our entry consisted of " 420 sheep, all of which met with keen competition and were sold at auction at prices slightly better than last week. The following were the prices: Good b.f. rape lambs 9/4, medium do. 7/-, medium shorn wether lambs 6/2, wolly do. 5/7 to 6/-, do. ewe lambs 6/7, small do. 4/- to 5/-, cull lambs 2/1 to 4/2 fat ewes 6/9, forward ewes 4/9, ni.a. ewes 7/2, 2-tooth ewes 9/-, 2-tooth wethers S/9. EKETAHUNA SALE. At their Elietahuna sale on Thursday Associated Live 'Stock Auctioneers, Ltd., offered a yarding of 4200 sheep, the biggest this season, and also several pens of cattle. In keeping with other markets, prices for older ewes were slightly easier. Young ewes, wethers and lambs met with a good demand and practically a total clearance was effected ‘at prices well up to recent market rates. A special entry of 160 5-yr ewes on account of C. T. Richardson topped the market in older ewes at 10/-. Prices were as follow: —Sheep: 114 5-yr ewes 6/9, 14S do. 6/1, 122 do.
