WEST SCHOOL
ANNUAL SPORTS. Some keen and interesting contests were witnessed at the Masterton West School’s annual sports gathering held at the school grounds yesterday. The gathering, which was capably organised and controlled by the headmaster (Mr W. Hickson) and members of the staff proved most successful and enjoyable. The boys’ senior championship was won by D. Forrest, with 34 points. F. Dickason, M. Munn and A. Dickason were next with 10 points each. J. Alexander won the boys’ junior championship, with 35 points, Ray Clarke and H. Fulton being next with 11 points each. The girls’ senior championship went to Olive Smith, with 26 points, and Aline Dickason was runner-up with 15 points. Lorna Pole, 32 points, won the girls’ junior championship, Nora Henson being runner-up, with IS points. The following are the detailed results: — SENIOR BOYS. 100 Yards.—F. Dickason 1, D.
