BUDGET DEFICIT
IN SOUTH AFRICA. (Received Thursday, 10.5 a.m.) CAPETOWN, Wednesday. Parliament has reassembled. -General Hertzog gave notice of the appointment of a select committee to enquire into the effect of the departure from the gold standard on the welfare of the country. The motion will entail a vigorous debate. A Budget deficit of £2,000,000 is anticipated.
