THOUSAND KILLED
IN COMMUNIST RISING ASSASSINS IN INTERIOR. Press Association Electric Telegraph—Copyright NEW YORK, Tuesday. Unconfirmed private advices asserting that 1000 or more persons were killed over Sunday in the Salvador Communist uprising have been (received here. The American Legation lias reported to Washington that a number of prominent persons have been assassinated in the interior, although the capital lias not been attacked, and President Alartine/. has stated that he has the situation “completely dominated.”
OUTBREAKS SUPPRESSED
SAN SALVADOR, Tuesday
Government officials have announced that their forces are in complete control of the country, and have suppressed all Communistic outbreaks. “■ They suspect the movement was inspired by Soviet agents. The flower of Salvadorean aristocracy, armed to the teeth, patrolled the city’s streets and assisted the ment in stamping out the insurrection.
