DANNEVIRKE SHOW
ENTRIES CLOSE TO-MORROW.
Those who desire to escape the penalty of an additional impost for their entries fdr the Dannevirlce A. and P. Show should note that closing day is to-morrow, Tuesday, January 26th. The show this year Will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 9th and 10th, and the Dannevirlce Kennel Club’s exhibition will be held in conjunction therewith. The annual ram fair takes place on Thursday, February lltli, and entries for this close on January 30tli. Show week festival in Dannevirlce is one of the big events of the year, and tlie society on this occasion is intent on making 4 the week an outstanding event in its history. Apart from the show itself, supplementary amusement and entertainment will bo furnished each night with special fixtures on the showgrounds, preceded on the evening of the first day with a spectacular procession, for which attractive prizes are offeree!. Entries for the numerous horse competitions on both days of the show, the stock and dairy produce classes, all close on the 26th, but those who intend being represented in the home industries section and homecraft competitions do not have to enter until the morning of the opening day of the show. The association makes a special effort to meet the convenience of exhibitors in all sections of the show, and consultation of the schedule will prove informative to those who may be exhibiting for the first time.
The Waipukurau A. and P. Association is co-operating with Dannevirlce, as it is not holding a show in Central Hawke’s Bay this year, and this is expected to result in largely increased patronage for the Danevirke fixture, the success of which at this early date is strongly indicated by the response already received.
