WELLINGTON MEETING. COMPRIS WINS CUP. W ELLINGTON, Wednesday. The Wellington Racing Club’s summer meeting opened at Trentham to-day iii fine, warm weather. The attendance was large. The track was hard and fast, Compris, the winner of the Cup. putting up an Australasian record for a mile and a half. The totalisator handled £26,485, against £2S,7OU last year, a decrease of £2215.
