BUSH FIRES
TOWNSHIPS THREATENED.
(Received Thursday, 10.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day
The entire male populations of the townships of Gunning and Gerrawa are fighting hard to save their property from destruction by bush fires. Both jilaces are threatened. The heat in western district towns was again over 100 degrees yesterday. A drop in temperature and a change of wind enabled the fire-fighters in Victoria to gain control of most of the fires.
