HIMALAYAN CLIMB. LONDON, Thursday. "The Times" says that Smythe, the conqueror of Mount Kamst on June 30, is forming an expedition to climb Nanga Parba, 26,624 feet, the sixth highest mountain in the world, dominating the western Himalayas, and recalls'* tlie tragedy of 1895, when the alpinist Mummery, after reaching 20,000 feet, was killed by an avalanche with two Gurkhas, in crossing the neighbouring pass.
