CHINESE FINANCE
TREASURY IS BARE. SHANGHAI, Thursday. Mr Sun Fo, son of the late Dr. Bun Yat-sen, and one of the leaders of tho new Nanking Government, told representatives of the China Press that tho Treasury was absolutely bare, and that the revenue is mortgaged for years to come. ’ .
An emergency National Council is boin°* formed. Chinese bankers met to-day and protested against a proposal to declare a moratorium for domestic
bonds. In view of the seriousness of the situation the few leaders remaining in Shanghai are proceeding to Nanking to endeavour to establish a Government by Commission.
