“D’ye smoke, young man?” growled the boss, frowning hard. “Y-l-Ycs, Sir ” admitted the applicant for the -job (his heart in his boots). “Hah!— 'and drink, too, hey, what? ” ‘ ‘ Only a beer now and then, Sir.” (The applicant thought it was all U.P.) “Oh, you do, do you?” thundered the boss. “That’s all right, then! Thought you might be one of those pcrnicketty nonsmokers. I can’t abide them. Smoke myself. Like a spot, too, sometimes. Think you’ll suit me. But what tobacco d’ve smoke —American? Hey. What?” ' “Yes, Sir. Plug.” “Cut it out, young man, cut it out, and substitute the New Zealand. Par better for you. Its’ toasted. The American isn’t. Full of poisonous nicotine. What? Little flavour and no bouquet worth mentioning. Go for New Zealand ” This rather eccentric employer was right. There’s no tobacco like the New Zealand. Delightful smoking and quite harmless. Many doctors smoke nothing else. Only four brands, remember: Riverhead Gold, Navy Cut No. 3, Cavendish and Cut Plug No. 10. But take care when you buy. There are imitations! 2.>,>
