KINGSFORD SMITH'S PROGRESS.
ON WAY TO ALLEPPO. ATHENS, Sunday. Kingsford Smith took off at 4.15 a.m. for Aleppo. FLIGHT OVER LONDON. ENDURANCE RECORD PLANNED. LONDON, Saturday. Mrs Victor Bruce, accompanied by her husband, is shortly to attempt a month’s flight over London without alighting, in the hop-v of beating the American endurance i\;eord of twentyseven days. They sliou.d cover seventy thousand miles. Twice daily a refuelling aeroplane will be sent up, which will provide the Bruces with petrol, oil, food and water by meansof pipes and ropes. Mrs Bruce will fly a monospan light machine, built on the simplest lines, with two seventy-five horse-power Robjoy engines, similar to that used by Butler on his Australia flight. ATLANTIC SERVICE. ACES TO CONFER. (Received Monday, 9.55 a.m.) LONDON, Sunday. The Sunday Chronicle says Mussolini is convening a, meeting of the world’s air aces, next May, to discuss an international Atlantic air service. Kingsford Smith will probably fly from Australia to Rome, where the conference will bo held. Hinkler will also attend.
