GIFTS ACKNOWLEDGED. Jack Lloyd went to Mrs Campbell Pearce, Otahuna, Featiierston; Robert Burne left the Home on December 10, returned to his grandmother in Feidling; Maurice Eagle on re-examination of his papers gained Proficiency Certificate; all boys in the Home at both secondary and primary schools have passed into a higher grade. The Matron slipped and fell on Christmas night; by the doctor’s instructions she had to rest for a. week. Mrs Beadle took her place. All the boys and Mr Rutty were invited to the Rotary Club Xmas dinner on December 17, and had a very pleasant time. On December 30 the boys and Mr Rutty attended a matinee performance of “Skippy,” being kindly invited by the Regent Theatre management. Ten boys went to the Ilutt Home on December 31, four as guests of the Toe H at Queen Ghailotte Sound, the other 6 to go to the Hutt camp at Plimniorton, the remainder to friends.
